Extending the Sillerton Lane heat network
Aberdeen Heat & Power is working in partnership with Aberdeen City Council and main contractors to extend the existing Sillerton Lane Heat Network to serve two new residential developments at Kincorth and Craighill.
This ambitious expansion will deliver low-carbon heat to all homes across both sites, helping to future-proof energy supply and support Aberdeen’s wider decarbonisation goals. By connecting these new-build properties to our existing infrastructure, we’re continuing to provide affordable, efficient heat where it’s needed most while reducing emissions and reliance on gas.
The project is a key part of Aberdeen City Council’s Local Heat & Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES), which sets out a roadmap for reducing carbon across the city’s buildings and heat networks.
Construction is under way and connections are being planned as part of a phased rollout.
